Valentino Spring 2011

While looking through the fashion house's Spring 2011 collection it is hard to imagine the designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, were not inspired by some sort of psychedelic drug high. I hear Beatles "Sun King" while going through the photos. Winter has broken, yet this collection still has some of its icy-ness with an ethereal quality. Some of them literally look like a flower blooming! So exquisite! It must have been breath taking to see the movement of the fabric in person. Each of the designs seems to be floating. Most notable, are collars which bring the focus up to the top of the ensemble. My personal favorite is the third dress down, in white. Perfect for a Spring wedding shower.

Marc Jacobs: Spring 2011 Handbags

In a search of a fresh, functional bag for Spring....found these gorgeous, soft, not too big/not too small, shoulder/crossbody bags by the brilliant Marc Jacobs.
